I've been surfing the web lately for Harry Potter updates, finding as much information as I can about the new film, and one of my favorite Harry Potter related websites, www.mugglenet.com has released some great screenshots of the new film. I'd love to share them :]
-Young Tom Riddle with Dumbledore at the orphanage
-Dumbledore creating a firestorm to fend off the Inferi
-Harry looking at a memory "tube" Dumbledore holds
-Dumbledore looking through his Pensieve holder
-Dumbledore and his Pensieve holder
These hi-resolution photos from Warner Brothers are really good, and just like I imagined. I can't wait to see the movie.
The trailer was set to be shown on AOL at 9pm EST, unfortunately that meant 2am GMT for me. So I didn't get to watch it until noon today. Yes, I overslept for the fourth time this week. I was reluctant to watch it to be honest, because I didn't want to be disappointed and I didn't want the trailer to give too much away. But of course I just had to watch it. Here it is...
I have to say, I do really like it. Having said that I do get scared to criticise things I know I should like. But I really like the music in this trailer, it really sets the mood of the film. The clips in the trailer are really great. The scene between Tom Riddle and Dumbledore is just amazing, really great acting and so intense. And at the end where is says "Did you know, Sir?...Then?" "Did I know that I just met the most dangerous dark wizard of all time?..... No." I just can't quite take it because the... fear that is portrayed in Harry and Dumbledores voices is stunning. The strong "No" that is spoken by Dumbledore is slightly mixed with fear.. like the unknown is about to happen, you don't know what's coming next. ITS ALL SO DAMN EXCITING!
Here is the trailer for the game...
According to mugglenet, this will be released on November 14th 2008, but that may not be true. It should defiantly be out sometime in November though. It looks exciting. but I have no doubt it will be good. All the HP games I've played are excellent. I've got 1 2 and 3 on PC and 5 on Xbox360. I need to get 4 on PC and 6 on Xbox360 when it is released. I'm just an avid HP freak. I'd really like to buy a wand and other cool stuff like the golden snitch.
o_o That's possibly all I have to say on the mater for now. I'm just excited ^__^

Could I be any more excited? Really?
I'd like to dedicate my first blog here to the new Harry Potter movie. It's called Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and it will be released on November 21st here in the UK. I cannot tell you how excited I am. I've been a massive fan of Harry Potter for years and years. HBP will be the best Harry Potter movie to date, I can tell.
A discussion with my mum earlier today lead to Michael Gambon's performance for this film. He will play the character of Albus Dumbledore for the 4th time. Richard Harris sadly died after the production of Chamber of Secrets and Gambon took his place. Personally I prefer Michael Gambon as Dumbledore, but I digress. As Dumbledore's time has come at the end of this book, we learn a lot about his past and he also tells Harry many things regarding Voldemort and how to defeat him. I feel that a new side of Dumbledore comes out in this book. A more fatherly, caring Dumbledore. Although I think I can safely say Dumbledore is one of the most kind-hearted characters in the whole series. I think the sence of danger and seriousness in what Dumbledore is telling Harry brings out a new side to him, naturally, and I really do think this part needs to be played, theres no other word for it, amazingly.
Of course, I realise Michael Gambon is an excellent actor. I've only seen him in the Harry Potter movies and Sleepy Hollow. But its blatently obvious he's brilliant. I'm sure he will play Dumbledore with the much needed tenderness in this film, as he has previously. I can't help but be a little bit cynical. Dumbledore is my favorite character in Harry Potter and I was distraught when he got killed of in Half-Blood Prince. It was like a member of my own family had died, it was that awful.
I also found out that it will be released 10 days earlier in Australia, November 11th. Thats made me so mad. Since it is an English film, surely people from the UK should have the first release?
Anyway, I've ranted about one thing for now. I'll leave you with this gorgeous counter.
